- How long do the procedures take?
The procedures are done with visualization under ultrasound guidance and usually take less than 10 minutes to perform.
- How do you determine the best treatment agent for me, whether it being a cortisone injection, PRP, hyaluronic acid, or stem cell therapy?
The best treatment depends depending on your age, severity of disease, and activity level. Because treatment of arthritis, tendinitis, and other sports related injuries are the sole focus of our clinic, we have excellent experience in choosing the right treatment in order to achieve the best long-term results.
- What is visco-supplementation or hyaluronic acid injection?
Hyaluronic is a naturally occurring substance that helps in lubricating our joints as they glide against each other. If you have osteoarthritis, hyaluronic acid breaks down and your joint loses its shock absorption, causing pain and stiffness. Visco-supplemenation and hyaluronic acid injection are excellent treatments for osteoarthritis and are also FDA approved for knee osteoarthritis. In addition, we have unparalleled experience and excellent results using hyaluronic acid for treatment for osteoarthritis of other joints including the hip, shoulder, and ankle.
- What is the recovery time after PRP, hyaluronic acid, cortisone, or stem cell injections?
These injections are very safe and simple with essentially no downtime. You can resume work and normal activity by the next day. It is advised that you do not overexert (excessive exercise, excessive weight loading of the affected joint or tendon) yourself for the week following the injection. Competitive athletes should take it easy during the first couple of weeks following the injection and gradually increase their activity level, as tolerated.
- Can I drive after having an injection?
Generally speaking, it should not affect your driving, however, we advise for your own comfort to have somebody drive you home.
- When should you see improvement after the PRP injection?
Most patients will see improvement 2 to 6 weeks after the initial injection.
- How many PRP treatments do need?
If you are a good candidate for PRP or Stem Cell injection, 1 treatment may be enough to help alleviate your pain. In some cases, additional injections may be helpful.
- What is the risk of PRP injections?
PRP injections are considered very safe procedures. There is no risk for allergic reaction since it is your own blood that is used to inject injured site. There is a very small risk for infection which is essentially eliminated using sterile techniques.
- How are stem cells collected?
Stem cells can be collected through the patient’s adipose (fat tissue), usually from the abdominal area. Stem cells can also be collected from the patient’s bone marrow, usually harvested from the iliac crest. Stem cells can also be collected from cord blood or amniotic membranes allograft from mothers who have donated their placental tissue after birth.
- What type of doctor should I go to for a PRP, hyaluronic acid, cortisone, or stem cell therapy injection?
It is very important to choose a doctor who is very experienced in doing procedures under imaging guidance, especially under ultrasound. Precision is crucial as even 1-2 millimeters can make a big difference in terms of injecting into the correct site or not. An experienced musculoskeletal radiologist with ultrasound training is the most qualified doctor for this procedure. A good result can end up saving you money and additional costly and more invasive procedures in the long run.
- Are Stem Cells or PRP covered by insurance?
PRP and stem cells are not covered by insurance at this time. A bill can be provided to get your insurance company for reimbursement of the procedure depending on your insurance company. We offer some of the most competitive prices in the region. We can also finance your procedure through Care Credit.
With Care Credit you can expect:

Dr. Reza is a genius. My knee has been bothering me for YEARS since I tore my meniscus playing football. Achy, bothersome, with occasionally a limp. I went into to get PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) and it was everything I thought it would be and then some. The whole procedure took less than an hour, very little to no pain and in less than 24 hours my knee felt brand new. If you are looking for a quality Doctor who offers PRP -- go here! The rates are very on point. He is literally THOUSANDS of dollars less than some other clinics and believe me he does such an amazing job, he could charge 10x's and it would still be worth it. Don't sit there suffering, get up and get help. I am actually thinking of getting my other knee done and its not really necessary. Lol.. 10 STARS...
This place is amazing. I took my aunt to Dr. Dehdari since she was in so much pain to her left knee due to Arthritis Dr. Dehdari explained to us about PRP and after the PRP procedure she has no more pain. When we went there she was using a cane but right now she doesn't use it at all. PRP works miracle.
Had the PRP procedure and I have to say no pain at all, going on 6 weeks, if you decide to have the PRP listen to Dr. Dehdari's instructions thoroughly and do the physical therapy, it works and I am so pleased and it's getting better and better as days go on, Dr. Reza Dehdari is the best and very emphatic in explaining all your questions soothing away your doubts, and he checks up on you to make sure all is well, after the PRP procedure. Very trustworthy PRP procedure and his assistant Sandy is also the sweetest caring person you will ever meet. I'm a satisfied customer and patient.

I was suffering from plantar fasciitis for 3 months. It has now been 4 weeks since my PRP treatment and I am now pain free!! Great clinic & staff and great natural treatment!
Dr. Dehdari comes across authentic and spends the necessary time to really understand the situation. Highly recommended
Quite simple experience. Showed up to appointment, I was taken right away to room for PRP injection. Doctor was friendly and willing to try to help me, while many other doctors just told me they did not know what I had and told me they couldn't help my pain and sent me away. Nurse was quite nice as well. Will return for second set of injections for more pain reduction.
